Eric and Marci are originally from Ohio. They both studied at Bowling Green State University and remained for another four years after graduation, ministering to college students through Great Commission Ministries (GCM). They were married in 1998 and have since been blessed with three children: Elliot (2002), Olivia (2004), and Cor (2007). In 2003, they joined with an international team of people to start a new church for young people in the city center of Amsterdam, the Netherlands. In 2006, Eric was ordained as a pastor for the developing church, now known as Amsterdam50. Their family continues to provide critical leadership in Amsterdam, while numerous young people have already been sent out to establish meaningful ministry presence elsewhere in Europe, in Asia, in the Caribbean, and in North America.
